Hellas Verona welcomes Crotone
Hellas Verona continues their fight for survival in the Italian elite division. They are currently 19th in the standings, trailing on just two points behind the 17th SPAL and the safe zone. Verona still has a solid chance to improve their position in the table and survive, but it depends on the way they perform until the end of the campaign.
In their last five matches, Hellas Verona won once, made one draw and lost three times. They are in a run of three consecutive losses, so most surely they will try to avoid making them four in a row.
Especially against a direct rival for survival.
Last season Crotone made a real miracle and survived, while everyone was counting them out. Now Crotone is once again locked in a fight against relegation. They are 18th in the Serie A standings 15 points, being on par with the 17th SPAL. But having the worst goal difference.
In their last five matches Crotone won just once and like Hellas Verona, they are currently in a run of three consecutive defeats. They only win in their last five matches came against Chievo at home. In their last match, they suffered a 0-1 defeat against Milan at the legendary Stadio San Siro.
Daniele Verde has the flu and he could miss the match against Crotone. Meanwhile, the good news comes from the recovery of Alessio Cerci, Mattia Zaccagni and Nicolo Cherubin.
Crotone is going to be without Marco Tumminello, who is still recovering from a serious knee injury.
This is an interesting match because we see two teams who have the same goal – to survive. They are very close to each other in the standings and everything can happen between them.
